Le programme PASOC s'inscrit dans la continuation du programme AISCHA (Projet d'Appui aux initiatives de la société civile pour des capacités humaines accrues) financé dans le cadre du 9ème FED et conçu comme un programme pilote afin de tester des modes différenciés d'appui aux OSC. Ce programme visait le renforcement de la société civile pour l'ancrage d'une culture citoyenne, de la démocratie et de la bonne gouvernance mais entendait le renforcement de la société comme un but en soi.

The NaturAfrica West Africa regional programme supports a network of key transboundary landscapes for conservation and development in West Africa, with the aim of sustainably managing wildlife and stimulating local economic growth, supporting ecosystems and ensuring resilience in the face of increasing external pressure.

Sub-Saharan Africa presents significant investment opportunities across multiple sectors. However, matching these opportunities with the employment aspirations of a fast-growing youth population remains a challenge. Many young people struggle to find decent jobs, while investors face a shortage of relevant skills in the labour force. To help close this gap, the Team Europe Initiative on Opportunity-driven Skills and Vocational Education and Training in Africa (TEI OP-VET) was launched in April 2024 under the Global Gateway strategy. The initiative aims to strengthen vocational education and training systems in SSA by aligning them with concrete employment opportunities emerging from public and private investments, making skills development a core enabler of sustainable growth and job creation.
