Result and Accountability Building Block Seminar in Lusaka Zambia

Dear Expert Group Members, just to inform you that the Government of Zambia has organised a seminar in Lusaka on 11-13 September 2012 to share experiences about result and accountability frameworks. Seven countries partecipated: Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda and of course  Zambia. The Seminar was sponsored by Germany and Sweden. Development Partners, Civil Society, Private Sector and  Members of Parliament from Uganda and  Malawi were also attending. The Seminar was very rich and showed that  countries have gone quite far in setting up M&E systems that can provide a solid bases for development result-based agreements. This should feature well with the continuos effort to use country system to increase aid affectiveness.
