Description
Welcome to the Cap4Dev public group on Social Protection which promotes the exchange and transfer of experiences and knowledge on social protection between the EU, other development partners and social protection practitioners, and those simply wanting to learn more about social protection.
The aim of the Group is to provide regularly updated practical tools, guidance and knowledge to support the progressive realisation of the human right of adequate Universal Social Protection coverage throughout the lifecycle. The Group is also a platform to share information on how the EU is supporting social protection in external cooperation. This Group is not limited by formal structures and it is built on the experiences of its members and the knowledge products being developed by the team of experts.
For humanitarian actors, the Group offers practical guidance on how to leverage social protection systems as an effective strategy to address multivariate shocks, crises and forced displacements before, during, and after their occurrence for supporting resilience in the long-term in fragile and conflict-affected environments. The Group hosts the Guidance Package on Social Protection across the Humanitarian-Development Nexus (SPaN).
We encourage you to post and share on this site and look forward to supporting your use of the Public Group on Social Protection. If you have any suggestions or questions about this group, please do not hesitate to contact us LINK.
EU staff (European Commission, EEAS) are invited to also join the restricted EU Staff Social Protection Community of Practice to access guidance, knowledge and tools tailored to your specific needs).
