TED Network Updates
The TED Network, a critical component of the Team Europe Democracy (TED) initiative, operates as a strategic platform uniting EU institutions, EU Member States, and diverse European organiaations committed to advancing democracy globally. Launched to enhance communication and coordination among European actors, the Network supports the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of democratic interventions, aligning these efforts with EU and Member States' commitments to effective, evidence-based approaches. It is designed to foster exchange of information, share best practices, and strengthen policy dialogue and program formulation, contributing significantly to the cohesiveness and impact of Europe’s democracy support efforts.
Facilitated by the TED Secretariat, the TED Network is structured around three working groups focusing on Accountability and Rule of Law, Political and Civic Participation, and Media and Digital. These groups address challenges in these thematic areas, fostering joint collaborations and enhancing the scope and scale of interventions. As a collective endeavor led by the EU and its Member States, the Network emphasiaes participatory and inclusive approaches, engaging a wide array of stakeholders including civil society organiaations, NGOs, think tanks, research centers, and universities, all dedicated to promoting democratic resilience and human rights worldwide.
