Discussion details

Dear Workshop participants,

The EEAS, DG DEVCO and DG NEAR would like to thank you all for your active participation in the regional Joint Programming workshop for the Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood in Brussels on 29 and 30 January. We would also like to express our special thanks to Austria for hosting the cocktail reception.

Thanks to your input we had very fruitful discussions which helped to achieve the objectives of the workshop: networking, increasing the knowledge about Joint Programming – including its region specific challenges – based on practical experiences and to agree on concrete next steps for the partner countries in the region. We also learnt that Joint Programming can even work in difficult contexts, which was one of the encouraging conclusions of the seminar. We hope that the workshop has inspired you and allowed you to return home with practical and operational tools for moving Joint Programming forward.
