8. Water Facility
The EU Water Facility provides vital technical assistance for capacity development in policy, design, financing and implementation of water, sanitation and WASH projects in EU Partner Countries, aiming to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal 6 and other relevant SDGs.
WHAT WE DO?
Technical assistance
Provide on-site and remote support with the identification, formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of water and sanitation programmes, projects and investments.
Capacity development
Organise capacity and knowledge development activities in critical areas of water policy development, integrated water resources management, transboundary water cooperation, finance and investments in water infrastructure.
Policy dialogue and water diplomacy
Support policy dialogue, exchange of experiences and collaboration with EU international partners, including organising or participating in meetings and events.
Development of tools
Create tailored guidance tools for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of water and sanitation projects/actions.
Awareness raising
Communicate, share knowledge and engage with EU Delegations, partner countries and other stakeholders on best practices and effective knowledge management.
