LOBITO CONNECT – Connecting local talent to sustainable mining value chains in Haut-Katanga & Lualaba
LOBITO CONNECT – Connecting local talent to sustainable mining value chains in Haut-Katanga & Lualaba is implemented in the Democratic Republic of the Congo from February 2026 to January 2028, led by Louvain Coopération. The project focuses on the critical raw materials, mining and logistics sectors, aligning skills development with labour demand created by major investments along the Lobito Corridor under the Global Gateway strategy. By working closely with mining companies, local enterprises and training providers, LOBITO CONNECT supports employment pathways for youth and women while strengthening the participation of local SMEs in mining value chains.
