Pitusa Bolano, Textile Engineer
Born in Barcelona (Spain), Ms Bolano is since the year 2001 owner and CEO of the consultancy firm - Beglobal Spain SL- focus on Creative sector development and the international sustainable growth of MSMEs operating in the textile and apparel sector and light industry. With 30 years of working experience, Bolano began her professional activity in 1985 in the private sector, as international marketing and export manager. Her proven expertise in the manufacturing industry and retail distribution channel contributes to the elaboration and implementation of tailor-made projects through the entire added-value chain, as well as covering technical assistance guidance for SME growth development programmes funded by public sector institutions, multilateral donors and Development Banks.
Bolano has working experience in the private and public sectors. She is approved consultant for MSMEs international development programmes by: the Government of Spain - Trade and Industry Ministry, the regional government of Catalonia and the Spanish chambers of commerce, Beglobal Spain SL is World Bank vendor ( nÂș 10799) for project PO: 7151794 "SEWA DESIGN, INDIA" .Since February 2017, Ms Bolano is Team Co-ordinator for EBRD EGP IA programme under Framework Agreements FC 867 dup and FC1052 (in non-exclusive basis). Her working experience with Multilateral Finance Institutions includes technical assistance assignments as an individual consultant for the development of SMEs funded by: the African Development Bank, The Asian Development Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the European Commission.
With proven experience as a Team Leader and Project coordinator, Bolano is used to working on a goal-driven basis, as a task team leader or unit team member. Having worked in 57 countries across 4 continents, Pitusa Bolano has the ability to deal sensitively in multicultural environments.
Since 2020, Pitusa Bolano is proactively coaching MSMEs operating in the Creative and light industry sector to shift to Circular Economy and ESG principles. Until today she has conducted seven training events in the following countries : Ukraine, Central Asia (regional), Egypt, Lebanon, Macedonia, Kazakhstan, Morocco, and leads a "Green certification project in Kyrgyzstan for companies operating in the textile sector" to meet the standards of Oekotex 100 and STeP by Oekotex certification.
