This group brings together all methodological publications of DG INTPA published in the “Tools and Methods” series and in other collections.

In these pages users can find help to identify the appropriate results frameworks and indicators for EU-funded external action interventions. The pages are designed primarily for the intervention design phase, but are also useful during implementation, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.

The EU has developed and formalised guidance tools and documents for evaluating its external assistance in which priority is given to results and impacts. This page presents the methodological guidelines designed to facilitate the move towards an evaluation practice focused on programmes and strategies in EC development cooperation.
