El Programa Amazonia+, financiado por la Unión Europea y lanzado en julio de 2023 en Leticia, Colombia, abarca los ocho países amazónicos: Bolivia, Brasil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Perú, Surinam y Venezuela. Los socios estratégicos a nivel regional incluyen la Organización del Tratado de Cooperación Amazónica (OTCA) y la Coordinadora de las Organizaciones Indígenas de la Cuenca Amazónica (COICA). El programa tiene como objetivo fortalecer las capacidades de los gobiernos y comunidades amazónicos para reducir y prevenir la deforestación mediante una cooperación regional reforzada. El programa es implementado por las agencias de cooperación italiana (AICS), francesa (Expertise France) y española (FIAP), así como por el Centro Común de Investigación de la Unión Europea.

The subsequent inception phase resulted in an agreed logical framework that defines project activities in five specific work packages generating concrete outputs, outcomes, and impacts. These work packages are: 1. International Events 2. Specialised Working Groups 3. Training and Technical Assistance 4. Communication and dissemination 5. Project Management In the 7 reporting periods LNGnet organised 10 training courses with a total number of 491 participants, implemented 5 Specialised Working Groups with 47 renowned international experts involved across them, and managed 3 international events with 203 participants. In total, stakeholders from across 52 countries across 5 continents were involved in LNGnet.

Euroclima, as part of the Global Gateway strategy, builds partnerships between the European Union (EU) and the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) regions to drive a green and just transition. Through bilateral dialogues and regional collaboration, the programme engages with 33 partner countries and key regional organisations to identify priorities and translate them into concrete actions, fostering long-term environmental and climate resilience. By creating the right conditions and supporting key initiatives in priority sectors, Euroclima helps establish a solid foundation for a sustainable transition. The programme also facilitates the mobilisation of climate and green financing, addressing urgent environmental challenges.

EUROsociAL+ pretende consolidar un espacio de diálogo euro-latinoamericano de políticas públicas en torno a la cohesión social. Es un programa de cooperación horizontal, institucional y de carácter regional: moviliza el expertise público europeo y latinoamericano en un ejercicio de aprendizaje entre pares, con enfoque regional de trabajo colaborativo, para afrontar retos comunes en el diseño, formulación, implementación, gestión y evaluación de políticas públicas que tengan impacto sobre mejoras en los niveles de cohesión social.

Integration of Amazon Biome Protected Areas (IAPA) - Amazon Vision is a project financed by the European Union, which seeks to create a network around the protected areas systems located in the Amazon region. The project started as a support to the regional initiative Vision for preserving the diversity of the Amazon biome based on the ecosystems, proposed in 2008 by the Latin American Technical Cooperation Network in National Parks, other protected areas and wildlife – REDPARQUES.
