EC-EIB Water and Sanitation Workshop 5-7 July 2010

This is an advanced three-day course. It is geared to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the current challenges of  SWAp approach and IWRM. It also aims to cover important topics for the sector. It will provide them with:

• A wider knowledge and understanding of key issues arising from sector-wider approach (SWAp) and Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) by sharing the different experiences of the participants and external organisations
• A better understanding of the new challenges linked to the design and the implementation of SPSP in the Water and Sanitation sector such as: Coordination, policy dialogue, monitoring mechanism and performance management and particularly the eligility and the assessment criteria in designing and implementing a Sector Budget Support
• A better understanding of other cross-cutting issues like governance in sector, decentralisation and climate change
