Sustainable agriculture is concerned with agriculture that uses natural resources efficiently and sustainably. In sustainable agriculture, farmers become the managers of their landscapes and ecosystems to cope with climate change. The main topics addressed include: sustainable intensification of agriculture, livestock husbandry and aquaculture; the governance of land, water and biodiversity for agriculture; and building human and social capital for family farming, small farmers and women farmers. This also includes a focus on gender.
