Public Financial Management (PFM) Reform
The Public Financial Management (PFM) Reform training has been re-designed to be offered as a virtual training that consist of three webinars covering five modules delivered over four days. Each session will last 3.5 hours and will include training delivery, interactive activities with trainer support, and Q&A sessions.
This training is meant for project managers in HQ or Delegation interested in public policies and economic governance
Specifically, the assignment aims at digging into the key building blocks and architecture of a Public Financial Management (PFM) system. This course aims at deepening your understanding of PFM and its role in development. A deep understanding of PFM and its environment is essential for public policies and development cooperation. It will address the conditions for successful PFM reform, the link to SDGs 16 and 17 and Aid Effectiveness, as well as Volume IV of PEFA framework.
This training will serve as an in-depth course for participants who have followed the PFM I course before, or equivalent course and preferably also the Budget Support course.
Content
In the frame of virtual delivery, the participants will be provided with a workbook containing material to be read before the beginning of the course, as well as guidelines on what is required for course completion.

Participants should have ideally completed PFM I or equivalent course and preferably also the Budget Support course.
Target audience
The training addresses INTPA staff / Delegations and Headquarters, no background in public finance or economics is required. The event will also be open to Operational Manager from NEAR, ECHO, TRADE, FPI, and EEAS upon seats availability
