6️⃣ Manage and guide evaluations

To support the effective planning, coordination, and implementation of evaluations - ensuring that EU international cooperation is evidence-based, accountable, and impactful. INTPA.D4, by providing methodological support, guidance, and capacity-building activities, helps EU staff to strengthen their evaluation practices. 

Strengthening evaluation for accountability, transparency, learning and decision-making purposes through the following INTPA.D4 resources: 

Advisory services on all aspects of evaluation methodology and processes, providing ad hoc advice to evaluation managers in HQ Units and Delegations on any step or aspect of the evaluation, including reviewing of evaluation’s main deliverables:

Developing methodologies, tools, and staff capacity: Providing guidance and technical support to improve evaluation quality.

Providing training and capacity development on evaluation: structured learning opportunities to strengthen staff competences in managing and conducting evaluations. 

✅ The Fundamental Training Package (FTP) provides the EC staff in Headquarters and Delegations with a dedicated online training module organised to enhance their competences on Managing an evaluation process. ✅ Delivery of webinars and coaching sessions on key evaluation topics (e.g. evaluation planning, budgeting for evaluations, drafting of evaluation questions, assessing quality of evaluation deliverables and managing evaluations in EVAL-OPSYS).
