Aid for Trade and Sustainability webinar
Objectives of the webinar
This webinar will give participants a better understanding of how sustainability objectives can be integrated into Aid for Trade (AfT). More specifically it will help the audience to further understand :
- What the overarching linkages between trade and environmental as well as social sustainability are,
- What the trade aspects of the Green Deal, the EU Gender Action Plan (GAP) III and various other relevant EU sustainability initiatives are, and
- How AfT programming can be used to promote environmental and social sustainability in practice, with examples.
Content
The principal aim of this learning event is to present in a comprehensive and interactive manner the key issues related to private sector development and aid for trade policy, programming and implementation. The emphasis will be on the operational interpretation of relevant EU and global policy frameworks, based on the expertise of the colleagues from the Delegations, INTPA HQ, other DGs, as well as from the external experts.

Target Audience
The webinar is open to INTPA staff / Delegations and Headquarters, especially colleagues delivering TPSD programmes, in collaboration with DEVCO partner countries. Participants from DG NEAR, ECHO, TRADE, FPI, ECFIN, and EEAS as well as other relevant DGs, subject to available seats, are welcomed.
