The Samoa Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Labour (MCIL) held two consultations with stakeholders in Savai'i and Upolu in mid-September 2016. The meetings were part of an awareness raising programme and aimed to receive stakeholder views on the improvement of service delivery by the Ministry, as well as initiatives already being undertaken by the Ministry. Amongst participants were government and private sector representatives, the Minister Lautafi Fio Purcell (Minister of MCIL) and Australian High Commissioner in Samoa.
The Hub & Spokes trade adviser, Stephen Musubire, prepared preparatory notes for the meetings and composed an article for the Samoa Observer, 17 September 2016. The article mentions his role as a Hub & Spokes trade adviser to the Samoa MCIL.
