Global European Results Framework (GERF)
The Global Europe Results Framework (GERF) is the corporate framework used to collect, measure, and aggregate key results achieved through interventions funded by the European Union’s external assistance financing instruments.
Introduced in 2022, the GERF applies to interventions financed under the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument – Global Europe (NDICI–Global Europe) for the 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF). All interventions funded under the NDICI–Global Europe 2021–2027 framework and launched after January 2022 should use the GERF indicator set. Please note that the methodological fiches are available in the tables below by clicking in each indicator's name.
The methodological notes provide detailed guidance on each indicator, including:
- what the indicator measures;
- its relevance to EU policy;
- the main data sources;
- required and recommended disaggregations;
- the calculation methodology; and
- practical examples.
