How can we contribute?

Your role in identifying better than most, citizens' information needs to be present. Ways to participate include:

«   Preparing new events to promote the EYD as well as linking existing events with the Year.

«   Planning and coordinating with other LAs/RAs to get the messages of the EYD out.

«   Identifying and liaising with potential stakeholders within your country/region and coordinating with them on potential 2015 activities/mobilising moments.

«   Offering updates, feedback and ideas on your processes of preparation.

«   Sharing key moments, advice and experiences from past mobilisation efforts with other stakeholders, both internal and external.

«   Use the hashtag #EYD2015 on social media (now and throughout 2015)

How can we receive funding for activities?

Local Authority engagement and activities, which are vital for the success of the EYD2015, will be supported directly though funds being managed by the Commission and funds being managed at decentralised level by the EU Member States. The EYD2015 is also part of this year’s Call for ProposalforDevelopment Education Awareness Raising (DEAR) and there will also be a direct grant agreement with NGOs.

What kind of non-financial support can we expect to receive?

To aid engaged stakeholders in their various EYD activities, there will be a toolkit provided. This toolkit will entail tools and instruments that will help them in meeting the specific needs for their EYD activities. Tools will include an EYD2015 visual identity and guidelines, promotional material such as an EYD calendar, factsheets, key political messages and a press kit along with interactive online communication via an EYD website and social media account and guidelines, etc.
