Better Articulating Humanitarian & Development Interventions - a Key Step for Resilience Building
Background information
The seminar is open to DEVCO and ECHO staff working in/on countries with EU development and humanitarian interventions.
This seminar is organised in back-to-back with the seminar Delivering EU development assistance in fragile / crisis situations*.
Training Objectives
The general objective of this training seminar is to enable Delegation and ECHO field offices staff, as well as geographical coordinators from DEVCO and ECHO with necessary support, guidance and tools for the set-up of resilience-oriented approaches at country level, through an effective articulation of humanitarian and development interventions (operationalization of LRRD - Linking Relief Rehabilitation and Development).
This will contribute to creating a more conducive environment for humanitarian and development actors to work synergistically while respecting each other's mandate, principles and procedures.
Content
The new EU approach to Resilience and related EU Action Plan; 2. Preparing for the implementation of the Resilience agenda - operationalizing the articulation of humanitarian and development interventions (LRRD - Linking Relief, Rehabilitation and Development). Group work on the resilience approach applied at specific country level.
