Seminar on Delivering EU Humanitarian and Development Assistance in Fragile/Conflict Situations
Seminar Objectives
The overall objective of the assignment is to update and enhance the understanding of DEVCO staff involved in development assistance in fragile/crisis situations on current issues revolving around fragility, resilience and crises in EU development policies and programmes and on the international agenda.
The seminar will facilitate stock-taking, guidance and exchange between the participants, essentially from DGs DEVCO and ECHO (but also DG NEAR, FPI, EEAS) working in/on fragile and conflict-affected situations in Headquarters or EU Delegations.
Several participants working in EU Delegations located in fragile or conflict-affected or disaster-affected countries will contribute to various sessions in order to share their experiences, best practices and lessons learnt.
It will be combined with presentations by DEVCO/EEAS/ECHO HQ and other institutions.
