Towards a Shared Environmental Information System in the European Neighbourhood SEIS
The project was launched to promote the protection of the environment in the European Neighborhood region through the European Neighborhood Partnership Instrument (ENPI).The project is being implemented by the European Environment Agency (EEA) together with the partner countries in the period 2010–2014. The project is financed through a service contract managed by DG Europe Aid. The overall project coordination is ensured by the Management Group, bringing together nominated representatives from relevant EC services: DG Europe Aid, DG Environment, EEAS, DG Research, Eurostat and the Joint Research Centre.

Проект был начат в целях содействия охране окружающей среды в стран региона Соседства через Европейского Инструмента Соседства и Партнерства (ЕИСП) .В настоящее время проект реализуется Европейским агентством по окружающей среде (ЕАОС) совместно со странами-партнерами в период 2010-2014 годов. Проект финансируется под управлением ГД. EuropeAid.Общая координация проекта обеспечивается группой управления, объединяя назначенными представителями соответствующих служб ЕС: ГД EuropeAid, ГД по окружающей среде, КНО, ГД Research, Евростата и Объединенного исследовательского центра.
