Capacity for Nutrition
Capacity for Nutrition (C4N) is a global level technical facility that provides support to the European Commission and the EU Delegations, to government departments in partner countries, to regional and global institutions and initiatives, and to the EU Member States.
C4N supports capacity development to improve the quality and analysis of nutrition related data and strengthen evidence-based nutrition policies and programmes, by developing capacity assessments, tools and support to implementation
C4N strengthens nutrition governance and accountability, for instance by supporting development of indicators and data that monitor progress on nutrition goals, and by providing technical advice to the European Commission to engage in multilateral fora and platforms.
C4N also provides support to improve the knowledge base and policy uptake on nutrition, by strengthening the use of evidence in development of nutrition policies, strategies and programmes. C4N is a joint action co-funded by the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
