• Support capacity development of the host government for the collection and use of sex and age-disaggregated data in national and sector planning, policy-making.
  


• Include child rights expertise as a requirement in the ToR for joint monitoring and evaluation processes.
• Promote pooled and coordinated approaches for national capacity development on child rights, rather than ad hoc and isolated technical assistance initiatives.
  


• Strengthen line ministry capacity to effectively engage with ministries of Finance and Treasury in child rights responsive budgeting.
  


• Strengthen the capacities of child-oriented civil society organisations and children themselves to participate in the policy analysis, policy review and budgeting processes of PRSP, SWAPs and national budgets.
