Module 1: EU Policy Framework for AI

The first session on AI held on the 11th of December 2020 has been proposed by DG DEVCO supported by a consistent contribution of DG CONNECT. The first module of the course aimed at presenting the EU Policy Framework for AI.
The agenda included:
- Introduction on basic concepts of AI and its impact in our daily life, Anne Flint from DG CNECT;
- Overview of AI in developing countries, Antonio Capone from DG DEVCO;
- Presentation of the EU strategy, main policies and key geopolitical challenges in AI, Martin Ulbrich from DG CNECT.
