Value Chain Analysis for Development (VCA4D)

On the 18^th of March 2026, INTPA F3 with the support of the FAO investment centre and EDFI Management Company (manager of AgriFI) organised a workshop on: How to boost working capital finance for Agri-Food systems in low and middle income countries? with the Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), impact funds, commercial banks and agrifood companies and experts. 

For our session we were joined by Alexandre Kaufmann, Agribusiness Investment Specialist at the FAO Investment Centre who discussed best practices, lessons learned, and informational or technical support needed to provide more and better working capital financing to agrifood companies and discuss practical solutions to foster the provision of working capital financing.
