LSC-IS : Land, Soil and Crop Information Services to support Climate Smart Agriculture
Objective: The project aims to develop sustainable land-, soil-, crop-information hubs in national agricultural research organizations to enhance the effectiveness of national Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS) and contribute to rural transformation and Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) in East Africa.
Implementing organization : WUR (Wageningen University), ISRIC (World Soil Information) and ILRI/CCAFS
Localisation: Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda in East Africa.
Funding and co-funding: European Union 5.3m EUR, Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs 1.4m EUR, ISRIC 0.2m EUR.
Duration: 4 years, from January 2021 to December 2024.
