The new phase of DeSIRA 

The new phase of DeSIRA is aiming at strengthening agriculture research and innovation to support agroecological transition of food systems in Sub-Saharan Africa.

it includes two different but complementary components

Component 1: innovations at scale for agroecology (DeSIRA+)

Budget (EU Africa regional programme) : €100 million + EU Member States contribution. 

First year of implementation of programs: 2024, 2025, or 2026

Component 2: Regional Multi-actor Research Network in Agroecology (RMRN- agroecology)

Budget (EU Africa regional programme) :€18 million including  4.5M€ per region for 3 RMRN and support to SRO
