I am an Associate Professor in Sociology with the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences. Since 2022 I act as a co-editor-in-chief of Voluntas: International Journal of Voluntary and Nonprofit Organizations. I am interested in civil society and international development cooperation. I have taught at a number of Polish universities and at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. In 2021-2023 I was the Convenor of the Civil Society Study Group, Development Studies Association Ireland. I have acted as a reviewer or extern examiner for the European Commission, academic journals, Polish and foreign HEIs, and various NGOs. In was nominated for a Fulbright Senior Award 2024-25.

I work in the field of Civil Protection as engineer, in QueSiTe srl (Pinerolo, TO, Italy) and as volunteer, in the municipality of Torino (Italy).
I am also involved in organising and creating moments of political confrontation as a climate activist.

My name is Kany Diedhiou and I'm a third-year at the IEP of Fontainebleau in France. Last year, I had a month and a half long internship at the Prefecture of Seine-et-Marne.

I am a lively third-year bachelor’s student, aspiring to keep pouring my passion for people and management into the cup of youth work and civic engagement. I am an active FLEX and ULA alumna, regularly representing Ukraine and now Switzerland in Erasmus+ projects. As a member of the European Youth Parliament Switzerland, I am eager to bring my positive energy and experiences to any table I am invited to!

I am an innovative and hardworking young professional with a passion for driving social impact and entrepreneurial success. With a background in startup development, fundraising, and operations, I currently serve as a Social Impact Analyst at Rethink Ireland, where I support Irish projects through the Green and Digital Transitions. Developing climate policy, including advice on climate strategies and action plans. My leadership roles, including co-founding VapeBox, a smart recycling scheme for single-use vapes, and managing a 102-member motorsport team, highlight my ability to drive strategic growth and foster collaboration on a grassroots level and an EU level. I am eager to contribute my expertise to initiatives that foster capacity building and sustainable development.
