The EU is determined to act on the gender dimension of environmental degradation and climate change also with regard to fragile situations, and mindful of the specific needs and roles of indigenous women directly relying on natural resources.
The EU is also committed to address the structural barriers that underpin the digital gender divide and support an inclusive and fair digital transformation. This includes promoting a gender-responsive participatory approach in development policies, projects and programmes that support partner countries’ digital transformation.
