Regional workshop on Joint Programming for Asia (Burma/Myanmar 28-29 April 2015)
DEVCO/EEAS
Event details
Description
DG DEVCO and the EEAS would like to thank you all for your active participation in the regional Joint Programming workshop for Asia in Yangon last week. We would also like to express our special thanks to Germany for supporting the workshop.
Thanks to your input we had very fruitful discussions which helped to achieve the objectives of the workshop: increase the knowledge about Joint Programming based on practical experience in the region, through a process of peer learning, with a focus on implementation at the country level. As outcome, concrete next steps were determined for the eight partner country cases involved.
We also learnt that Joint Programming can work in challenging contexts, if adapted well to country specificities (“tailor-made” Joint Programming), which was one of the encouraging conclusions of the seminar. We hope that the workshop has inspired you and allowed you to return home with practical and operational tools for moving Joint Programming forward.
