Provision of Integrated Medicine to Kwale county in Kenya

The SPHIP team has been deployed in Kwale county in Kenya for seven full and intense days, where they had the opportunity to work closely with the project “Supporting the Kwale County Government through the provision of Integrated Medicine”, as well as with the beneficiary organisation the Ministry of Health of Kwale County.
The lead organisation, 4Kenya, welcomed the SPHIP presence and both projects were able to collaborate together and to analyse the individual project content, desired impacts, logical framework and communication and visibility guidelines.
The SPHIP consultants went also to the Kwale County Hospital and the Matuga Health Centre to observe the electronic medical records and the manual data collection an reporting.

In addition,SPHIP project had the chance to meet the Programe Director of another European Union Project in Kwale County, Dr. Amyn Lakhani, in the launch of the Jamii SMART mobile application by the Aga Kahn University (AKU) at Eshu Dispensary. The projects had time to interact and see possible synergies in the future.
