The PFD supports partnership between the Latin America and Caribbean region and Europe via its programming consultations and its work around recent summits between the regions. In preparation for the 2023 and 2025 summits, the PFD has supported fora to bring the voices of civil society participants into the discussions of politicians and policymakers. Several meetings have been hosted by the PFD as part of ongoing dialogue with civil society and local authorities to provide updated information, including:
- September 2024 hybrid meeting on Dialogue and follow up of the EU-America and the Caribbean partnership to provide an update on: 1) the follow-up to the 2023 EU-CELAC Summit and the 2023-2025 roadmap agreed by both regions; 2) the launch of the EU-LAC Global Gateway Investment Agenda; and (3) the implementation of the EU Multiannual Regional Indicative Programme (RMIP) for the Americas and the Caribbean (LAC) 2021-2027.
