Roadmaps Tracker

An empowered civil society is a crucial component of any democratic system and is an asset in itself. It represents and fosters pluralism and can contribute to more effective policies, to equitable and sustainable development and inclusive growth.

It is within this framework that since 2014, EU Delegations, in close coordination with Member States, are developing EU Country Roadmaps for engagement with Civil Society. Currently the third generation of Roadmaps, which mostly cover the period 2021 – 2024 is being implemented. New Roadmaps that will cover the years 2025 and beyond are expected at the end of 2024.

Roadmaps for EU engagement with Civil Society are strategic documents laying out the way of working and engaging with civil society for EU Delegations and Member States. They allow for a more structured and strategic cooperation with civil society in each of the EU partner countries.

You can view or download all public Roadmaps for EU engagement with Civil Society, per region, via the next pages.
