Conclusion
In conclusion, child rights mainstreaming in the formulation phase includes:
- Making children visible in the programme logic framework, i.e. making girls and boys an explicit and visible target group of the programme
- Formulating results and indicators at all levels that will reflect progress of the programme in terms of child rights realisation
- Ensuring that both results formulation and indicators are disaggregated by gender, age, ethnicity, disability status, socio-economic conditions and other relevant grounds.
- Identifying rights holders and duty bearers and how the they, by improving their capacities to claim their rights and fulfil their obligations, can contribute to child rights realisation
- Making assumptions that may help, and identify risks that may hinder, child rights realisation
- Identifying sources of verification in the form of documents, people and direct observations that will provide information about the expected child rights realisation
