Example: EC Water and Sanitation Programme

In this section we will use the example of an EC water and sanitation programme to highlight how child rights can be mainstreamed in the logframe. The objective of the programme is to improve the health situation for 50,000 residents of a municipality. Children are beneficiaries although the programme is not child-focused.

We will build upon the logframe below – where child rights are not mainstreamed – and show how the various results formulations and indicators can be altered to ensure that child rights are mainstreamed. We will also add risks and assumptions as well as sources of verification.
