Network

At the heart of Capacity4dev lies collaboration and the essence of building meaningful connections. The 'Network' page is tailored to foster these connections, allowing you to keep track of intriguing members, expand your professional network, and stay engaged with the diverse community of Capacity4dev.

Follow these steps to access and manage your Network on Capacity4dev: 

  1. Step: Log in to your account 
  2. Step: Access your "Network" page
  3. Step: Explore your Network

Step 1: Log in to your account

Step 2: Access your "Network" page

  1. Once logged in, click on the "My Profile” link located at the top of the page. 
  2. From the dropdown menu, select "My Profile" to view all your information about your membership

When you click on "My Profile" you will be redirected to your membership space where you can also find the Network tab.

Step 3: Explore your Network

  1. People You're Following:
    • Find a list of all members you've chosen to follow, offering a glimpse into their interests, comments, and contributions on the platform.
  2. Your Followers:
    • View who's keeping an eye on your contributions and activities, creating avenues for potential collaborations.
  3. Filter Members by Name:
    • Streamline your search and easily locate specific individuals in your network using the name filter.

Step 4: Expand your Network

Interested in diversifying your network? Here's how:

Personalised Suggestions:

  • Log in and head to your homepage. As you scroll down, the right sidebar will showcase not only the members you're following and your followers but also a specialized section titled Who to Follow. This section provides suggestions based on members who align closely with your interests.

Broadening Your Search:

  • Navigate to the Members tab under Browse Content on the main navigation bar. Here, you can discover a plethora of members to connect with.
  • Enhance your search using filters like keywords, topics of interest, countries of interest, and organisation types (European institutions, private sector, civil society/NGO, government, international organisation, academic).
  • Sort results based on recently joined, most active, or relevance to fine-tune your discoveries.

Engaging with Members:

  • Upon finding a member of interest, click on their profile to:
    • Follow and add them to your network.
    • View Profile for a deeper insight into their contributions and interests.
    • Contact Directly if they have enabled this option, fostering immediate communication.
