Contact Another Member

As a member of Capacity4dev, you may want to connect with other members and communicate privately. Fortunately, the platform allows you to do so via private messages. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps of contacting another member via private message on Capacity4dev. 

There are three different ways to contact another member via private message on Capacity4dev: 

  1. Method: From a Member's Profile Page 
  2. Method: From the Members List
  3. Method: From the Members List in a Group

Now, let's look at each of these methods in more detail: 

Method 1: From a Member's Profile Page 

  1. Log in to your Capacity4dev account and navigate to the member's profile page that you want to contact. 
  2. On the profile page, click on the "Contact" button. 
  3. A private message form will appear. Enter your message and click "Send" to send the message to the member.

Method 2: From the Members List 

  1. Log in to your Capacity4dev account and navigate to the “Browse Content” and then "Members" section of the site. 
  2. Locate the member you want to contact and in the profile box, click on the "Contact" link. 
  3. A private message form will appear. Enter your message and click "Send message" to send the message to the member.

Method 3: From the Members List in a Group 

  1. Log in to your Capacity4dev account and navigate to the Group where the member is located. 
  2. Click on the "Members" tab to view the list of members in the Group. 
  3. Locate the member you want to contact and click on their name to view their profile box. 
  4. In the profile box, click on the "Contact" link. 
  5. A private message form will appear. Enter your message and click "Send message" to send the message to the member.

FAQ

You can contact only those users who have access to the option to be contacted. All our users can restrict this setting in their profile.

To restrict other members to be able to contact you go to "My profile" > "My settings" > scroll down > untick the box "I allow members to contact me through my personal contact form"
