Objective of the action:
Overall objective: To contribute to improved livelihoods, enhanced social cohesion and increased protection of people dependent on the informal economy in Puntland State of Somalia.
Specific Objectives: People dependent on the informal economy in Nugal Region in Puntland State of Somalia are empowered to access greater livelihood opportunities; Vulnerable groups in Nugal Region in Puntland State of Somalia have greater access to basic social services and protection mechanisms
Target groups: People dependent on the informal economy with specific focus on: Women and girls, people with disability, out of school youth (boys and girls), ex-militia, IDPs and returnees

Final beneficiaries: Within Somalia, no data currently exists on the prevalence being engaged in the informal economy. While targeting the above groups, the Action will create ongoing benefits for the broader communities of five districts in Nugal region, in Putland, Somalia. Total population: 457,446.

R1. Enhanced incomes and livelihoods of target vulnerable groups
R2. Strengthened social cohesion and child protection for marginalised groups
R3. Strengthened voice for marginalised people to influence livelihoods institutional and policy frameworks
